I recently purchased one of the new Laserlyte rear-sight lasers for my XD-45, but don't have the tool(s) or skill to install it. Can any of you recommend a professional in the Pearland / south Houston area that might perform such a task at a reasonable price?
Additionally, if you any of you also have one of these new devices, please let me know your opinions on it's performance on your weapon.
Thanks!

Re: Laserlyte RL-XD Install
The armorer at Fountain Firearms is very friendly and would be more than qualified to install your sight. Fountain is on Hwy 6 near beechnut/bellaire area. I think his name is Sloan. Not exactly around the corner but no one else has replied...

I appreciate it, RECIT. I know exactly where that place is!

Re: Laserlyte RL-XD Install
Put one on my xd-40sc and love it. Wife actually shot better with the iron sghts on it over her xd-40 sights. The laser works extremely well. I mounted my own but it was a pretty tough job even with a sight pusher so get a gunsmith to do it. Rather than adjusting point of aim to a set distance I aligned the laser along the edge of the slide so as to be just to the right of iron sight impact point . Set point of aim at 7 yards, this seems to work really well. Put a little bit of clear nail polish on the battery case threads to keep it from backing off. Enjoy your new sights and let us know how they work.

Thanks for your feedback, Sidro.
You're right, it is a tough install. (I tried to do it myself on Saturday evening, but ended up bending the metal tap that's supposed to be used to get the old sight out and the new sight in). That said, I'm droppin' off my XD-45 at Carter's Country at lunch time for them to do the install.
