For My Sister

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

For My Sister

Post by WildBill »

Yesterday, I received word that my dear sister Barbara passed away. She was my sister for 50 years. She has been and will always be my sister, but during the last twenty years she became one of my closest friends and confidant. She was smart, educated and had a terrific sense of humor. Sometimes we would sometimes talk for hours about every topic under the sun - life and death, family and relationships, music and films, food and wine, science and history, the cosmos and the Pope.

All of her family and friends will miss her. Please say an extra prayer for her husband Mark and her daughter Crystal.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Losing a sibling can always be hard, but when they are one of your closest friends that is really hard. You and your sister and her family will be in my prayers. Very sorry to hear about this.

Dear Bill,

Sorry to hear of your sister's passing.

While the passing of one's parents is the usual sequence
of events, the passing of a sibling saddens one's heart more
deeply due to the intertwined years of being in the same generation.

Prayers are made on your sister's behalf.
