It really was great for me too. So many friends that I have known & then the new ones that I have posted w/ & had a few PMs back & forth.
This is the first one I have been able to make the whole show. All you old hands I really had a great time w/ yall. Visiting & a couple of thank yous.

Marty you & Linda for the help w/ learning about passport photo pictures.

Steve for helping in April.

Rest of all you guys & gals that we have visited before it was great.
XDGal I think you were the only Non-Mod lady on the board to come by. Keep it up others will follow.

All you new guy that I shook hands w/ for the 1st time, great 2 days.
TAM - great helper on the PR for the board. He is a good rep for us. Thanks Sir & glad you made it to Texas. Thanks for your help w/ TomC. Tom Great day w/ you & still praying for your up coming chalanges.

Chemist45 - good to meet you & be able to visit. When you were there it really was pretty crowded & a lot of people coming by the table. I wish we could have had longer for us to visit but did enjoy what time we had.

Excaliber - Good time w/ you & thanks for sticking around for a while. Your screen name fits your size. You are one big friend. :banghead: Coarse at 5'10" & fat everyone is big to me. :banghead: Thank you for quality posts.

KFP - you are one of our younger ones & I am prowd to know you, young man. Glad you tarried long like you did. Our several conversations through the time were good. Hope maybe we can share some travel expenses next Forum Day at PLC. You show some real maturity for your age & I am prowd to have you representing carry & Texas CHL forum.

Joe817 - Thanks for the trip down memory lane w/ the silk WWll maps. You were a great help at the table too. We that are old hands at the table appreciate the way you jumped in to help w/ the info distribution. Thanks for the help w/ the couple that you showed the holster too. I think those 2 will be on the board & several others will be registered & participating. Your recomendation & demo on the holster solidified their decisions & really helped.
Good job.

Greybeard - Folks he had a table right next to ours. That was fun & had a great time visiting w/ you for the 1st time. Need to grow that beard back. You will be in good company. Dont waste a great screen name like that. :thumbs2:

TomC
Thank you sooooo much for what you do. You make it possible for members to have a place to meet & visit.
All of the folks that are doing the meetings, working, the banquets, are really too busy to set us up a place.
You have done a greater service to me than you will ever be able to know. That 2 days WAS my vacation. I rested, destressed (thats a real RedNeck word yall) had more fun that 2 days than I have had, really in several yrs. You providing the table made that possible. Thank you sir.

Cant wait til next Feb. :seeya:

Longtooth, I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful time I had with you and all the great forum members I had the privilege of meeting on Sunday: Longtooth, Tomc, SVRA, CompVest, Crossfire, Excaliber, Greybeard, Salty1, and of course my close shooting friend, SIA.

SIA & I had breakfast at the IHOP across the street before the gun show opened. Man, can he pack down the breakfast!
We then met Tom in the parking lot and all entered together. Tom, thank you so much for everything.

I felt so much at home sitting behind the table, I cannot begin to tell you. It's in my blood. If I'm not talking to an attendee I start getting antsy. "rlol" LT, you did an outstanding job of talking to passersby! I was really surprised that so many people stopped to chat with us. LOTS of interested people. SIA, you as well. Between you 2, I could hardly get a word in edgewise. :smilelol5: And that's a GOOD thing.

The Great RSO in the sky was smiling down upon me. I was able to sell some of my WWII knife collection that enabled me to join TSRA(finally!) and to buy a tactical flashlight(finally).

My only regret is not being able to get out there on Saturday. I missed meeting KeithB and TAM, and I'm sure a lot of other people. I just hope I'm offered the opportunity to do it again next year! If you need help for the entire weekend, please put me at the top of the list. I wish to become more of a contributor than I have been.

In closing I have to say that was the BEST mid sized gun show I've ever attended, bar none, and I've exhibited at a LOT of gun shows in the DFW area. The mix of exhibitors there was simply perfect. There was absolutely something there for everybody, no matter what their shooting interest might be.

I had a great time over the entire weekend! Got to meet lots of friends, new and old. I regret that I wasn't able to spend more time visiting at the Forum table, but SRVA kept the TSRA volunteers hopping. When SRVA says "go" - trust me, you go! And there were lots of places to go and things to be done.

Anyone who has a chance to volunteer for the next TSRA conference, trust me, it is an experience not to be missed! I met and shook hands with more people than I ever would have otherwise. Not to mention that it takes a WHOLE lot of work to put on an event like that. More is always better when it comes to help. We worked lots, but we were well fed and well appreciated.

One of the biggest surprises of the weekend, though, was that the Crossfires won a raffle, and are now the proud owners of a Bond Arms Texas Defender! Made in Granbury, with 2 interchangeable barrels, it shoots 45LC/410 and 38/357. Not too sure what I am gonna do with this thing, but it sure is purty!

The shotgun was 2008, and it didn't last very long as a safe queen. Let our son take it out to the range, and it has never found its way home. He lets me visit it when I shoot clays with him. That's OK. Makes him happy, and I got myself a nice 20 gauge that doesn't beat me up near as bad as that one.

It was great Joe. I was able to be there the same way you were. A few months ago I sold a reloading set up to someone that was going to be at the show. They did not need it immediately so the deal was, do the exchange at the show. That deal financed my trip. Enjoyed spending it all too.

You are definately offered the opportunity to help me next yr. We both have to be reapproved by Tom though. He is the floor supervisor under, Superintendant, SRVA. :patriot: We have not got Tom's performance review yet. Hope we passed.
