Did the guy have to reach in the car to get the keys? Was his window down? I know if anyone tries to approach my window I always make sure it is fully up and only cracked alittle so I can find out what they want but not enough so they can get a hand in my vehicle

+1, Use the word "kill" if that unfortunate situations occurs and see what happens. You WILL be hung out to dry. We are on your side trying to help you.
Not true, i remember watching an interview of a store owner saying he shot the robber and wanted to KILL him.

Sometimes things turn out okay despite our best efforts. That one incident may have gone well, but generally speaking using phrases like "I had to kill him," are bad mojo...sorry Mojo, not you ;-)
