Colt 6 shot

Post by fannypacker »

I carry a Smith 5 shot. Does Colt make a 6 shot now?

Go for this if you'd like a little more firepower in a revolver.

Yep, but you'll have to buy used.

Not necessarily........

Colt no longer makes any revolvers. But you can still find NIB (New In Box) several models (most all were 6 shot). Gunsamerica.com is a good place to start looking. I can tell you though if you find one you like, a Colt will be 2 to 3 times more expensive than a comparable model S&W.

That's right AEA, I forgot there are folks that buy and hold their guns.

If you are interested in Colts check out Summit gun brokers. IIRC they had some snubbies and a few other models.

I love Colt revolvers, but given the prices and the ever growing value, I probably would not want to carry it. I would buy one as an investment and stick it in the safe though. My dad has a python and a detective special, both purchased in the early 80's and never fired. NIB. I have been trying to wrangle the python out of him, but no luck yet.
