Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Law Seminar

I hope I haven't overlooked the answer to my question but after spending some time searching for answers I decided to post and ask.

I ran across a couple of references to this seminar created and taught by Mr. Cotton last year. I was very excited to find it as it sounds just exactly like what I thought I was missing from the CHL class I took a year ago...yes I felt, even at the time, that it was such a wasted opportunity to get some good education but instead turned out to be just a lot of chatter using some questionable anecdotal stories about why it's a good idea to carry. Even with all the reading I've done over this past year I'm still not confident I know and understand the intricacies of the Texas laws as well as I should. Sure I know where I'm not allowed to carry and I know that even in places where it's perfectly legal I still stand the odd chance of encountering the rogue LEO.

In an effort to be better educated, informed, and prepared, is this Seminar still being offered? I'd love to attend one of them even if it meant an overnight trip somewhere. If someone could please post a link or some info as to when, where, length, and cost I would really appreciate it.

I too am anxiously awaiting the seminar. When or where it will happen....I don't know. But it will.

I thought I read a week or so...maybe a month ago, that someone down in the Bryan/College Station area was working on it. But haven't heard anything recently.

When it DOES happen, I'm sure we will know about it!

Thanks for the link and info Joe. I figured there might be a thread started somewhere though it never dawned on me to search with TSRA as part of the search term. I'm really looking forward to attending it. There's nothing like knowing where the boundaries are when it seems we have to dance on the head of a pin to keep ourselves out of hot water.

Now that the TSRA annual meeting is over, we are going to get several on the schedule in the coming months. Fort Worth will be one of the first venues for the seminars. When seminars are scheduled, they will be announced here and on the TSRA website.
