Enchanted Rock!?!?!?

Planning a trip to Enchanted Rock SNA this weekend and decided to call them and make sure that I was able to carry there.

Got some interesting info from one of the staff that you all might like to hear.

1) I was informed that I was able to carry there...as long as I informed them ahead of time. Anyone else ever hear of this? This one is news to me.

2) I was informed that there is no need to carry as it is a very safe and secluded area and there was nothing there that warranted carrying and the only thing that would "bother" me would maybe be a raccoon.

Anywho, thought some of you might enjoy this information and would like to know that nothing will happen to you at Enchanted Rock SNA.

You need to watch out for those Raccoons (they wear masks for a reason).... "I think you underestimate their sneakiness. They are very very sneaky."

All venomnous snakes have been asked to leave or hybernate while you are there. I read the PUBLIC NOTICE in the Newspaper .... you should be ok then.

Went to Enchanted rock today. GREAT TRIP!!! Carried all day w/o a problem (Shhh...dont tell them but I did not inform them I was carrying )

It reminded me a lot of Elephant Rocks State Park back home. I will def be going back and probably camping next time!
