Well, in reality, you had all the justification you needed in your original post. I want one is all I ever needed to justify anything I thought I could afford. My wife gave up on asking for more than that during the first 10 years or so.marksiwel wrote:so basically no one can justify a 33 round magazine

Any purchase that you want to make is JUSTIFIED. Just say you are going to get it and let that be the end of the discussion. Unless, of course, you don't have $30.00 in your pocket or checking account. My hubs and I don't discuss any purchase made unless it is over $100.00 (I sometimes break that rule and so does he- but at least we have a somewhat understanding and he calls and asks but he usually gets what he wants after all he is the breadwinner in the family and I tell him look at the checkbook balance before you make your final decision on a high dollar purchase. Just buy the mag.

I just bought two 33 round magazines... Just to prove it CAN be done!

Y'all give upon the idea of a belt fed Glock? If several bullets (33) are good, a couple hundred should be better.

This is my suggestion as well. My wife and I have included a small "fun money" allowance in our monthly budget. If there's something we want that is over that, we talk it over and see if we can justify the extra expense. This was something a friend of mine recommended and said it saved a lot of arguing over money in his marriage. We tried it out and found out he's right. Give it a try, you may find it works for you.jeeperbryan wrote:Man, I'm glad I don't have your problem. My wife and I have monthly budgets for each other. I don't care what she buys and she doesn't care what I buy. As long as we stay close to our budget.

Your money, your range toy, your wife. But why not spend time and effort learning how to do sub 3 second shot to shot reloads instead of buying a range toy that not even top mil or LEO teams use?
Unless you have a G-18 and the shoulder stock that goes with it, 33 round mags won't improve your shooting.

I have one. They are cool the first time you use it or show it to your buddies, but not that cool time after time. I still use my factory Glock mags more than anything else and this Glock is just a range toy. It would be nice to have a few loaded in a bug out bag though.

Mine are used more with the carbine than the pistol. I even have pretty good luck with the Korean knockoffs.

They arrived in the mail. Took 5 minutes to load ONE! ONE!
my thumb hurts.
also got some pinky extension for my 10 round glock mags, those were a pain to get on
