You guys are aware of 10 round magazines for the LCP aren't you?

I don't know how good they are, but Promags for other guns work pretty well. Worth checking out.

Well slap me stupid and call me Pelosi! I was not! Ruger did have an extended mag that didn't work right, but have not seen this! This is a horse of another flavor. Thanks a bunch. I do wonder though how this will look without a spacer filling in the extended gap

It seems like these convenient mouse guns are making it easy for those of us that carry to get lazy and stop carrying real guns when possible.

1) The obvious caliber war... I think .380 goes below the acceptable caliber strength for daily carry.

3) Long term reliability and ability to practice: The mouse guns are not made for tens of thousands of rounds. I like to practice often with my EDC guns, and even if .380 ammo was ample and cheap (neither are true which make this point even more valid to me), you can't go put 100's of rounds through an LCP without wearing out its usable life soon.
Let's not confuse fact with opinion. Shot placement naturally trumps caliber wars, so a well placed .380 JHP will ruin any bad guys day. Also, an LCP will most assuredly not be worn out after "100s of rounds"; I'm part of the majority of Elsie Pea owners that have put over 1000 flawless shots through it without any wear on the slide, frame, or barrel. And accuracy is well within the personal protection range. Is a shotgun, a .44 magnum, or grenade launcher better? They can be in the right setting, but a little black gun that fits anywhere and look a lot like a black wallet can be a handy piece of machinery.

And in a 'mall shooting' or "Luby's" type scenario, yes, the BG will likely have a lot of ammo, but that's not the point. I would expect to get the drop on the bad guy and fill him full of bullets ASAP. I want to be able to unload 11 or 15 rounds into him rather than 7 weaker rounds. Or if there is 2 guys... etc. You will not be necessarily outgunned because of your caliber, but outgunned because with any handgun, you need to fill them full of holes in as few seconds as possible, and limiting yourself to 7 is a lot worse than 11, 13, or 15+ rounds.
I don't dispute any that you say, but it's all a tradeoff. Even Suzzanna Hupp (from the Luby's killing) said she wished she had her revolver with her and she could have taken him out. How many rounds to that? I would love 11-15...would love 1,000 even more! Belt fed would be great! Just for me is not practical. I did have the hidden in plain sight belt pack that would hold even my 24/7 17 round. BUT, would have to unzip and remove it... I opted for a external belt holster to be able to draw faster. For me, fast deployment outweighed more ammo but slower as I thought about parking lot assaults that would require only one hand quickly to deploy. I can be convinced otherwise should I find a better system. Like the Prez, I'm all ears! :bigear:

WOW-Excellent point. Suzzanna Hupp could've taken out the bad guy in Killeen with a 5 round revolver!! I fell in love with Suzzanna Hupp on the radio long before I discovered that she was the one who championed our cause.

A Kangaroo holster also works nicely with the LCP when your wearing Dockers and a tucked shirt. :fire

OK, a really "off the wall" question about the LCP (or any pocket pistol). I carry my LCP in a Meco pocket holster. I carry either in the right front pocket or right rear pocket. In either place, it appears I have a wallet in my pocket. Here's the question. Is there any danger to sitting on the gun in your rear pocket. I know that with the curvature of my rear end, I am putting a small bending moment on the gun and it would ruin your whole day if it discharged. (my adult son just bought an LCP and asked me this question...I had no answer)

I'd say no, and have no reservations carrying that way.
