The only thing I was able to keep is my surefire tactical flashlight which I got on the pay it forward thread on this forum. So...now that I have no gun, the question what is the BEST gun for concealed carry because I am going to buy another one. Also - what is the best holster out there for that gun. Another thing, I've heard 9mm is no good, so only want .40 or .45 caliber guns.

Re: Concealed carry in post office bathroom while drinking
This actually happened when I was a CHL - I was drunk, in the bathroom, carrying, at a bar at Reliant, during a Texans game. I parked on post office property, and was carrying a select fire m-16 pistol IWB, with a silencer (I of course have a class III/tax stamp/whatever). The police saw me wearing a 5.11 Texans jersey and somebody told them that someone in a Texans jersey had a gun, so the police didn't even ask me anything - they just drove over me in their car, took my gun, and slapped my wife.

Defiantely [sic] avoid the .9 mm holster. I like the .338mm lapua holster because someone told me to never bring a six shooter to a bar fight when expecting trouble(that's paraphrased).gigag04 wrote: Also - what is the best holster out there that gun. Also, gigag, was the officer wearing his hat? As everybody knows, if he wasn't, then he was out of uniform and the arrest was invalid. I know this because I read it on a forum.

Re: Concealed carry in post office bathroom while drinking
What a coincidence! The same thing happened to me when I was drunk at the bar during church in Reliant Stadium while watching a Texans game. I was mailing a letter while playing a game of cards in the restroom when I announced that I had a Royal Fizzbin. One of the players, an off-duty cop wearing a 5.11 jersey sans-hat, pulled out his supressed fully-automatic M-16 and accused me of printing and cheating. Incensed, I pulled out my NAA revolver, pointed it at him and said, "of course I am cheating, but I challenge you to prove that I was printing." Since my NAA was a .22Magnum and had more stopping power than a mere 22LR, he holstered his weapon and said "that's okay, let's play some more cards." P.S. Sorry about your wife, but she slapped me first.gigag04 wrote:This actually happened when I was a CHL - I was drunk, in the bathroom, carrying, at a bar at Reliant, during a Texans game. What if I drank a beer and had to drive my unicycle to the post office and then had to go to the bathroom along the way?
Oh yeah. What do you think would be the best way to carry. IWB, pocket, fanny pack? All suggestions welcome!

I heart this post.
Also - I fixed my typos. I was on the phone with the diamond importer talking about engagement rings when she told me the price of gold....

Oh come on, it was better when you were asking about .40 or .45 holsters.gigag04 wrote:I heart this post.

I know. I was busy taking pictures of my latest carry rig to post on the internet and see if it's really concealed. JK...the diamond importer story is true. This thread is excellent - I feel like its a safe place to vent about common questions/posts on this forum.SQLGeek wrote:Oh come on, it was better when you were asking about .40 or .45 holsters.gigag04 wrote:I heart this post.

Oh, and another favorite:
my buddy has a CHL and he told me that I can do XXXXXXXXXXXXX, but my instructor said I can do YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I'm too lazy to read the Penal Code for myself so can you guys save me some legwork of looking here or at other resources and just give me the answer?

IDK. A diamond encrusted platinum holster from Tiffany & Co sounds absolutely divine for open carry at charity balls.SQLGeek wrote:Oh come on, it was better when you were asking about .40 or .45 holsters.
