Big Town is today and tomorrow, my wife and I were out and about and we almost went, but changed our minds.

Didn't see this thread until now. If you can give me a call, I'd be up to head out and meet you out there.

Rey, I'm covered up this weekend but I'm thinking about going to the Dallas show next weekend. If you don't find what your looking for at Big Town maybe we can meet up for the Dallas show??

This was the most disappointing gunshow I have ever attended at Big Town. Few vendors and a very sparse crowds. Bachman Pawn’s absence in the back corner almost eliminated the back half of the single room event

Wilson - That don't sound good here as we have table at next Denton show (Sept. 30/Oct. 1) by same promoter. And, last I heard, it was to be at a new location - the Old Home Depot building ? I'll check when it gets a little closer ...

DCSA to also have table at Market Hall next weekend. Their Sept. show is typically one of the better attended ...

I went to the last show @ Big Town and I will not go to another one there unless I'm looking for something specific. No a/c and it was cooler outside (98) than inside. Several of the big shops were not there and a few more said they wouldn't return.

I will be going to the Dallas show next weekend as it's the NRA show.

I went up there yesterday to meet ReySC and his friend. Finally got to put a face to a name! Despite the gun show being very sparse, and some of the vendors closing up early - at least I enjoyed my company!

Good to meet you Rey!

I may try to make the Dallas show on Sunday, depends on the wife's plans(typically my day to help watch the girls and such, give her some time off).

Got to agree, show's "flat, bland, boring" but I meet Cyphur and that was great!! Spent a little going thru used, wore out 1911 holster that costs an arm and a leg..Geezz!! Anyway, ended up the day with a nice juicy burger and a few bottles of my favorite brew by the terrace overlooking the golf course as we watch the sunset....Subject of conversations.. 1911 mystique!! Plan on joining me next time Cyphur! We will schedule something where the wife and the girls will be included..

I am thinking about going to the market hall show. Might find the part I am looking for the rifle I inherited from my mom, well she gave it to me early. It wasin her closet collecting dust and I told her that was Abuse and she should let me use it. At least it would get a work out when I go to the range.
