At 56 yr old & 34 yrs of ministry, I love it when Mrs Pearl Havard, 92 yrs old, calls me a preacher boy.
Those icons because I am too old & stiff to
any more.

Do you ever shoot at Smith Park? It's been a few years since I shot there, since I joined Texarkana Gun Club. Not bad, so long as you don't go during "sighting in season".
We occasionally roll through B'burg on 3129, going to Shreveport. But since we bought a trailer, we usually pull it and spend the night down there, so it's easier to take the new section of I-49 through Arkansas.

shooting practice
I live 2 miles west of 3129 in the country. I have never shot at Smiths Park
or anywhere elce for that matter. When I get ready to target practice with pistol or rifle i simply step into the back yard ,set up my target using the woods as a backstop, shoo of the deer and begin shooting.

That is no joke. They come up in his back yard & look in the sliding double doors.Tote 9 wrote:I shoo off the deer and begin shooting.

*heh*
I understand. I've got a buddy in Hooks, who was laid up with a bum knee. He was sitting in his recliner, and shot a 10 point buck in the back yard, through his (open!) living room window.
He sent the kid out to drag it back with a four wheeler, and they skinned it on the back porch. I don't think he fully explained the circumstances of the hunt to his wife.
