I live about 15 minutes from the Cabela's in Ft. Worth...for anyone who has not had the pleasure of visiting a Cabela's, it's well worth the trip! :thumbs2:

This is very bad news....for my bank account, that is, since I only live about 3 miles from where they will be building. :lol:

This post got my attention for sure. Sadly, further research says it will be Spring of 2011 before it opens. I know its not that far away but its further than I'd like.

I wonder if they have some kind of "non-compete" thing with Bass Pro Shops. They never seem to be within 50 miles or more of each other, except for in DFW. But, yeah, Houston could probably use one. And San Antonio could use a Gander Mountain, too.

They already have. Some of the new management staff have been working in the Ft Worth store.

Already been there, thanks, if they do as well as or better than Home Depot there may be a new retirement supplement job in my future.
