From the time of our first question on this forum, we've received excellent advice and support on all aspects, helping us think through the serious business of carrying (including the why's). As was said earlier, a very unusual place of sanity in the crazy forum world. Thanks to all!! :tiphat:

And to the Mods: Thanks for not (yet) telling me to take a hike (although I'm sure it's been mighty close). :evil2:

Still can't get DynaBlue to post, so you could experience her backwoods humor, but someday.... :waiting:

Welcome to the board sir.

Yes, the forum is composed of just a bunch of regular
folks who happen to cherish and use their rights to have
loaded weapons on them.

Last October I took a road trip down to Friendswood, TX
to attend the Texas CHL Forum day. It was great to match up
folks with their screen names and shoot our handguns, instead
of just talking about it here on the board.

When you line up on the firing line of various ranges with fellow forum members,
you realize the power of having an armed citizenry ready to defend themselves, and
unarmed strangers. If you get a chance to do something at the Friendswood club,
by all means do so. Your geography more easily enables you to do so than many of
our more distant friends.

I have already been told that the Friendswood range was the only one to consider. My local one is the pits (public, strange rules, trashy, etc)

Tell me when, and I will make a point to make it. It would be interesting to put faces to nicknames.

I have to know, is everyone who shows up wearing an Hawiian shirt?

No on the Hawaiian shirts. All the other gunners would know
who was carrying if that was the case!!! :-)

That's where I got to meet the famous SIA and many others from this forum. :cheers2:
