Stupid Rain!

Post by Embalmo »

Stupid rain ruined my trip to Eagle Peak today. I drove to Cedar Park this morning in denial that the rain would let up and it didn't 'till it was too late. I brought a cooler full of sodas, 100 rounds of 9, 100 rounds of .380, 600 rounds of .22 and 100 rounds of 12 and a box of clay targets. I was ready to play! I ended up hanging out at the mall getting waffle fries and pizza. I even cleaned 3 of my handguns in anticipation last night. On the plus side I still have 4 clean guns and a trunk full of ammo for Monday.

I don't know how badly you need to shoot but most of Texas needs rain. :txflag:

:iagree: It's so dry down here on the coast that all the trees are whistling for the dogs! :biggrinjester: I'll be glad to give up the IDPA match tomorrow to get a good soaking - - - I'd rather it hold off until tomorrow afternoon though. ;-)

Thanks for the sympathy guys. Yesterday was the last day of school-I've been planning this for weeks. Shooting indoors for $15 an hours is just too rushed to be fun. I was gonna' try out my new staple gun and everything.

I had a case of 12g and 2 cases of clays for tomorrow also. Looks like we will be rained out tomorrow also. It is WAY dry down here, so we can shoot a different day.

Boy this rain is nothing like I've seen in CA. These sub-tropical storms are powerful. My cats are NOT fans of these thunderstorms.

I just looked at the radar this morning.

Looks like we are in for some "Texas tinkle" this morning.

No clays this morning, but my yard needs it

I'm in NW San Antonio. Since yesterday morning - according to my roof mount weather station - we have had 5.06" of rain. It can dry out now for a few day...please.

Doug :txflag:

P.S. Hoping to be at Bullet Hole this afternoon.

Same here... 5.22" near Braun and Bandera Rd. It's been fun to watch!
