Pushing for open carry in Texas.......
There is an interesting article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram this morning about the possibilities of open carry in Texas. Here is the link: http://www.star-telegram.com/2010/05/22 ... g-for.html

I have no problem with open carry, but I prefer to carry concealed.

Cougars are shy, reclusive, and downright mysterious...

Yes. Like a SA license allows me to carry a semiauto or a revolver.AndyC wrote:Merely having the extra option to use - or not - would be nice.

FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
Re: Pushing for open carry in Texas.......
Yeah, but nothing new is being said, just a rehashing of what has been stated repeatedly for the last few years.DoubleJ wrote:sweet mamma jamma. leave for 6 months, check in, and ya'll are still debating OC![]()

Good to see you DoubleJ!! Hope things are well in the northwest. Give us a new thread on your travels and the status of firearms laws and carry in your area.

Seems like a great topic to discuss on the Texas Open Carry Forum.

Re: Pushing for open carry in Texas.......
I just started reading "More Guns, Less Crime" by John R. Lott Jr.
I believe I now like the idea of concealed carry. His argument is
that some BGs make determinations who might be carrying before
committing crimes against persons.

That would probably be more popular than the Texas Don't Carry and Leave it in the Car Forum.bdickens wrote:Seems like a great topic to discuss on the Texas Open Carry Forum.
