Kershaw Ken Onion 1560

Post by Rvrrat14 »

I bought a Kershaw Ken Onion knife about 10 year ago to carry when I carry my pistol. It is a model 1560 with the spring assist to open.

Is this knife legal to carry? Someone told me it was not. It will not open with centrifugal force. You have to push the blade in order for it to open. Once you have the blade moving, the spring takes over and will open it real fast.

thanks

I love Kershaw knives. I carry one everyday. They are not illegal because use a torsion bar assisted opening system. They are not spring assisted. I have had the whirlwind and a blur and would not trade them for anything.

Thanks for all the replies. I had a feeling that if they were illegal, noone would be selling them......Had someone tell me they were, and it made me wonder. Glad to hear so many folks have them. Great blade!
