St. Johns Hospital - School?

Post by Abraham »

St John's hospital has signs stating to some effect that it's a campus.

Does that mean the clinics associated with it are off limits?

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Main Entry: cam·pus
Pronunciation: \ˈkam-pəs\
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Latin, plain
Date: 1774
1 : the grounds and buildings of a university, college, or school
2 : a university, college, or school viewed as an academic, social, or spiritual entity
3 : grounds that resemble a campus <a hospital campus> <a landscaped corporate campus>

They may be a teaching hospital but I figure the third definition is what they are referring to.

Check for 30.06 signs. No sign (and not a teaching hospital) you're good to go.

Might it be helpful to narrow topics down to maybe the county or city?

I assume you are referring to Christus St. John Hospital in the Clear Lake area. It is privately owned (Catholic) and not an accredited teaching hospital, as far as I can tell: http://www.christusstjohn.org/about_mission.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm sure they will have no problem with you carrying there. ;-)

The last time we visited Christus St John (perhaps two years ago?), it was posted 30.06, white letters on the glass next to the doors. I can check that on the way home this afternoon (work is right across the street).

Seamus you're location assumption is correct.

The building housing the clinics have no 30.06 signs on the door.
