Waiting for the application itself. Still.

I used the online CHL application and paid with a credit card, which was charged immediately, of course. After 16 days of waiting for the application packet to show up in the mail, I sent an email to DPS asking if they could check on it. Someone replied simply "I'll mail another one. Please allow 7-10 days.".

I've read about the problems getting your license from them in a timely manner, but has anyone else experienced trouble just getting the application materials after registering and paying online?

I also paid by credit card, and mine came after 1 week. Maybe it got lost in the mail.

BTW, you can still attend the class and use a regular application, just don't send that in. once yourss arrive, you can transfer everything over.

Thanks. Yes, I know I could take the class, but I was hoping that having the packet with some of the info already filled out by DPS would save me some paperwork.

I can't imagine why it would take 7-10 days to get something into their outgoing mail!
