I went to Google Earth and found out where the Drury Inn is located in relation to St. Michaels. I stayed in one a couple of weeks ago in Houston, was there for a church security conference. The Drury was a very clean and well kept, breakfast was good and they had a happy hour in the afternoon and food was good too. Looking at the Google map it looks like the Drury can't be more than a mile or two from the Saint. I would rather drive a couple of miles than to risk loosing my weapons or something else.
I'm going to give them a call to see what the rates are and how secure the hotel is. I will post when I find out.

Update on the Drury Inn and Suite. $55 a night +Tax, non smoking, double bed w/ micro, coffee pot large screen LCD TV. Breakfast buffet and evening chow. They are a family oriented hotel and they choose areas that are safe. I went a booked the room from July 4th thru 9.
