Sounds like when I first went to work in the IT industry 30+ years ago. We had to wear white shirts, ties, and 3-piece suits. It was always so nice crawling around on or under the raised floor pulling 50+ foot pairs of 370 cables or changing toner or ribbon cartridges in the high volume printers. Ah yes, sweet memories.

Now I wear cargo shorts/BDUs, T-shirts, the occasional Hawaiian/Camp shirt, and either sandals or running shoes. Life is good :thumbs2: :anamatedbanana

I was born, raised, and live in Fort Worth, but have family in Jacksboro, Odessa, Gardendale, and Brownfield.

I do see shorts out West from time to time, but they are usually the "jorts" that have been shunned in the cities for about 10 years.

If I wear cargo shorts, a polo shirt, and either sandals or running shoes, people know I'm from out of town immediately. Wearing long sleeves with shorts or a long sleeve undershirt with a short-sleeve polo / t-shirt is another immediate giveaway that, "I ain't from around there." :txflag:

In fact, nothing is more comfortable than an old pair of wranglers........but my wife insists on the wranglers anyway!:
The only thing my wife insists on is keeping my fly closed...what a slave driver.

Jean shorts and a XXXL t-shirt and Bullard "Undercover" most times, comfortable and concealed. Church and more formal occasions, Crossbreed "Supertuck" with shirt tucked or not tucked depending. Less likely to deal with a ballooning from the wind and/or a touchy-feeley outing.

Wheeler and Pampa as a kid. Then Canyon, Amarillo and Lubbock before moving to the Metromess in '79. Made far more $ out there selling buildings in boots and jeans than some competitors who thought it should only be done in coat and tie. ;-)
