Update and review

Post by Fire1141 »

I thought I would give an update since I have been carrying for a couple of weeks. I have stated before that I cannot carry at work per policy. I have decided to carry (bad part of town), due to some advice I received here. I carried for a few days in my blackhawk cqc serpa holster and no one noticed, although it felt like it was protruding 6 inches from my hip. Then I got my custom leather holster. I'll never carry in anything other than this holster. It holds the gun very snug against my body, the whole thing sort of wraps around with nothing protruding. While there is no retention, the gun "snaps" in to place and will hold while upside down. I tried it last night! It can be used iwb or out. I have worn it own since I received it. I don't own or make any money from endorsing them, but if you need a quality holster you should try the "byhcs" from black hills leather.

I ordered one of their EEL (Economy Express Line) holsters for a CZ-82. The website indicated "We Insure rapid delivery and will ship in one to two days."

It took just over two months to ship. However, it is an excellent holster and (I think) worth the wait.

Ya, I waited about 6 weeks, but I ordered a matching belt, so that slowed it a little

6 weeks isn't too bad. I waited 10-1/2 weeks to get my Kirkpatrick Gunleather "Undercover" model. But, it is an excellent holster, and the price was $74.00, which is pretty hard to beat for a "custom" ordered holster.

But when I see the word "custom," I tend to think BBQ rig. I have one in my future. The design isn't settled on yet, but I'm eager to get 'er done.
