New Addtition to CCW Stable

Post by martywj »

I recently made a couple of new addtions to my CCW stable. My apologies for the picture quality, a photographer I am NOT!

I bought this nice Model 36-10 last month off a member on another forum for $375. It came with the Nill Griffe Grips which cost around $125. It also has the standard grips, box and all the paperwork.

I sold my Taurus PT140 at the Dallas Market Hall Gun Show, and put a bit of cash with to get this XD40SC for $388.

I ordered another DM Bullard Dual Carry for the Model 36, he is making it so I will be able to carry my other Model 36(no dash) 3" using the same holster.

For the XD I decided to try a Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC this time. We will see how it works.

I have taken the 36 to the range and it is as accurate as I am. I need to practice with it a bit more. I am getting in the 5 ring mostly at 20 yards. I haven't been to the range with the XD yet.

I already had a Smith & Wesson 908 that I carry in a DM Bullard Dual Carry holster.

What do you think, did I do good?

The SA SD, I've never held so no comment. Plus 2 for the Bullard holster! All in all not only have you done good....I'm jealous! Congrats!

Beautiful gun....sounds to me like you got an excellent deal. If ya don't mind me asking, what did ya sell the Taurus for......my cousin and I were at the Market Hall show looking for just such a gun.

Gun, in box with papers, 2 factory mags + 4 extra factory mags went for $325 to a individual who showed me Texas ID. Not a great deal but I am happy. I put $100 with that to get the XD for $420 out the door. Again not a great deal, but I am happy.
