New pony in the stable
Just picked this little baby up today from Tomball Pawn. Saved $100.00 off gun show prices. I can't say anything bad about Tomball PAwn. But anyway, little lady said go for it. Boy is she nice. No, you can't have her, she is a keeper.

May take a run to Carters tomorrow morning. See what the weather is doing. Hope it shoots as good as it fits into my hands. Never had a pistol fit quite like this. Hard to describe the fit. Feels like it becomes part of you.

Very nice purchase. I was in there yesterday and saw that gun. Actually considered picking it up. Tomball Pawn is great with their prices and really fair on their buy prices as well.gwtrikenut wrote:Just picked this little baby up today from Tomball Pawn. Saved $100.00 off gun show prices. Kimber's have a tendency to do that!

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Thomas Jefferson

gwtrikenut, very nice. Please post a range report after you've had a chance to shoot

Very nice. Safe shooting.

You can't beat Tomball Pawn. Just for kicks you should see how much other places want for that same gun.
I got a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II at Tomball Pawn for $799. The same gun runs close to two hundred dollars more
at most other stores.

Another big name gun dealer in Houston has 5 on hand in his north Houston store. But he wants over $300.00 more for the same gun. If they don't have one on hand, they refuse to quote a price.
And yes, I will report on how she shoots. Good or bad. But then it may not be the pistols fault. And I will report on that too.

Ok, here we are. Gun shot great. Shooter? Not so great. But I am real happy with the first time out with it. I like my hand loads better than factory. I think I got better grouping. But I will let the pictures speak for themselfs. The gun gets right back on target after each shot. And the recoil is not bad either. All shots were done from a distance of 25 feet.

Now that you own one you will never carry another concealed gun. Have a CDP Pro and its very easy to carry it all day. Very light and a tach driver. Congrats.

Re: New pony in the stable
I have an XD I carried for some time. Then I had the chance to purchase a Colt Defender and I carried it for a long time. Both were not that bad. The XD was somewhat heavier loaded. Now that I have the Kimber, and have been wearing it around the house, I do believe it is somewhat lighter than the Colt. The only problem I see, is keeping my wifes hands off it. She is a couple inches taller than I am, and when I brought the Kimber home, whe said the same thing I did when I first held it. OMG, this is nice. She loves shooting the 45acp. But I really think she would like the 9mm even more if she ever shot one. At least I hope she would. The gun shoots real nice. I just have to get used to it.

See there's your problem right there. Don't let your wife see it.gwtrikenut wrote:when I brought the Kimber home, whe said the same thing I did when I first held it. OMG, this is nice.

Re: New pony in the stable
Oh well. After 28 years together, I don't hide nothing anymore. And she never says
. Like I posted on another post, it had been some years since I had been to a gun show, and she suggested I go. But she wanted some of my male friends to go because she didn't want to go. And she didn't want me going by myself. I don't know why. They weren't going to stop me from buying anything.
So I guess she is a keeper. Besides, I don't have the energy to train another one.
