New Galco made in Arizona

Post by glbedd53 »

Bought a new Galco today. Didn't realize til today that Galco is in Phoenix. Got a new holster and did a little bit to support Arizona.

New Galco made in Arizona

Post by Quahog »

I recently bought a Galco as well. Glad to hear it's an Arizona business... I have done what I can to show my support for those folks. It's irresponsible what our Federal Govt is doing (or not doing) when it comes to Arizona. God Bless Arizona!!

I've been carrying it in a Bianchi 82 Carrylok. I still like it but it took a while to loosen up and it squeeks every step I take. The Galco is pretty comfortable already. Combat Master is what this one is.

Just ordered two Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancakes for my Redhawks and 4" model 25.

They are great folks and also in AZ.

Galco are really good holsters and I have 3 myself, along with 3 of their belts.

Just a caution.
There are other people that sell Galco holsters at lower prices such as Optics Planet (California), Product-Wizard (who is New Jersey & also Optics Planet) and several other websites that are all Optics Planet. Even on eBay and Amazon, yup, Optics Planet is there.

Problem is, they never have anything in stock. They take your order and then you gotta wait to get your stuff while they order it from Galco and then send to you.

Anyway, I only tried that route once with Optics Planet and once with Product-Wizard (when then I asked Product-Wizard if they were associated with Optics Planet and they said yes). I canceled orders from both of those places and bought direct from Galco.

Cost more from Galco but they make them, have them in stock (at least their web page will say if they are not in stock) and they ship quickly.

This Galco doesn't have a retention adjustment screw and it might be a little loose. If I hold it upside down, mag in and loaded, it will fall out, not real quick but it will come out. Is there a rule of thumb on this?

I have two Galco Concealable Belt Holsters in black - one for a 5" 1911, and the other for a 3" 1911. They are both a tight fit, and the gun will not fall out when held upside down.

That said, I have no plans to spend any time upside down.

This one... but in black:

I don't think it will be a problem, unless it gets much looser.
