TSRA meetings and gun show

Post by RPBrown »

The date is approaching. The TSRA meetings are Feb. 2-4 with the gun show on the 3rd and 4th in Mequite,

Texas CHL Forum will have a booth again this year. Its a place to get togeather and meet folks from the forum as well as get new members.

If you have literature about your local shooting club, feel free to display or hand out at our booth.

Prices for Lunch or Dinner meetings are $30.00 and include entry into the gun show. Join TSRA at the show and get into the show for free. Show prices are $7.00 for non-members and $4.00 for members.

We all had a good time last year so make plans early.

Also looking for volunteers to help man the booth.

This has been one of the better shows in years past, at least in the North Texas area.

Again in Mesquite??? And again on my Dad's Birthday...

Oh well...Looks like another trip north again... ;-)

Keep me posted if you hear any news on the speakers at the banquet...

Charles was a hoot this last time...

I'll make sure I tell my Dad to clear his schedule for this one too...

Kimberly and I made hotel reservations last night. I had a great time last year! This year I am going to get there a bit earlier and take in the seminars. Once the schedule is finalized...I will volunteer for a block of time at the table. Thanks RPBrown for taking care of table!

I became a life member of the TSRA with payments over the last year. I hope more of us choose to do the same....it is a great organization.

I can't wait!

Rey-

Congrats on doing your part! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? The TSRA does some great stuff for us! You will get a cool newsletter every quarter that keeps you up to date on current events.

I am glad you will be able to make the annual meeting....we will all have to keep up the plans and try to do dinner somewhere on one of the nights.

RP, where in Mesquite is the TSRA meeting? Is the gun show at Big Town or the Rodeo?

The meetings and show are at the Mesquite Convention Center. 1700 Rodeo Drive.

If you hurry TSRA has a block of rooms at the adjoining Hampton Inn at a discounted rate of $75.00 per night. But as some found out last year, they go very quick. For reservations, call 972-329-3100.

The only speaker that I know of at this time is Alice Tripp. She will have a seminar on our efforts in the Texas Legislature 07.

I will list other speakers as I here.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.

By the way, a thank you article in this quarters Sportsman thanking PSC for holding the Texas Hunters Pistol Championship and a generous donation to TSRA. WAY TO GO PSC. what a great range

I'm seeking ideas to have a banner made for the table this year. Last year was put togeather so fast I didn't have time.

Any ideas for design. Thought about the forum logo but would (1) need Charles' permission and (2) would like other design ideas just in case.

I also plan on bringing my laptop this year to keep the forum up but can't leave it ( I also have to work from it as well). Can anyone else bring theirs as well?

Absolutely. We will bring a laptop. Do they have wireless internet in the building? I guess it could be shown from cache if it is not available. Take care.
