State Fair, Museum posting

Post by scooter03 »

Went to the fair on Friday, and wow finally seen a posting of the penal code, but there is one kick. It showed penal code 30.05 at the bottom of the posting. This was very unusaul to me, so I looked it up and it talks about trespass in 30.05 and 30.06 is carry of firearm. Since they are meaning the correct one , would this still be legal.

It looks to me like the 30.05 is for thoe folks without a licence to carry.
Since, 30.06 is the section that covers those certified for (otherwise) legal carry.
imo, and of course IANAL, it would not stop licenced carry.
Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

I would understand this if both statements were posted, but the 30.06 statement was posted like this
a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (concealed handgun law), may not enter this property with a concealed
handgun" and then at the bottom of the posting it has it relating to 30.05., I wished i would have had a camera ph to take pic of it.

Sorry Scooter, I'm not exactly sure of the situation, i guess..
Did they have a 30.06 and a 30.05?

first there are several posts here that the stte fair cannot have a 30.06 . Except in the areas around the Cotton Bowl.

The 30.05 is a warning for non-chl., imo.

Yep , it seemed like they had the right intentions but had it posted wrongly, the words of the 30.06 were printed in bold lettering but had at the bottom in reference to 30.05. very confusing.
