Coyote LCP Range Report (Marksman)

Post by FL450 »

Went to Marksman Range in South Houston today to break in my LCP, Put 100 rounds on Monarch brass FMJ, 6 rounds of Monarch brass JHP and 10 rounds of Critical Defense thru it without one failure. It didn't have the felt recoil that my AMT Backup had at twice the weight. I was happy with that since this will be a shared BUG with my wife. Was shooting next to Tom Estep ( Elgato) and got to try out his M&P. Love my Elsee Pea. I told a friend about mine Sat and he found a Coyote edition in Galveston. He bought it for his collection and a regular LCP to shoot. Wish I had that kind of coin laying around the house.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.

Glad to hear you liked it. Hoping to get mine out to the range this week.

I agree about the recoil. Seems like quite a few people seem to think it has a significant kick but I don't find it that uncomfortable. Granted, it isn't something I would like to put 500 rounds through at one sitting, putting a couple of boxes through it gives me no more discomfort than any other pistol I own. I do have small hands, maybe they are of benefit for once in my life.:smilelol5:

I hoping my wife likes it, With the extended mag base plate grip I can get 21/2 fingers on it so she should be able to get three and feel like she has control. We both shoot Sig 250 Compacts 9mm and 40 cal so she will need to get used to it.
