WTT - Weatherby Vanguard .308 for an AR-15 - REMOVED
Curious to see if anyone out there might be interested in trading a nice deer rifle for a nice AR-15. I have a Weather Vanguard .308 with a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 scope. It has 28 rounds down range. The test target was .5 MOA. I have the original box and the test target in my attic. I'm the second owner - the first owner had a lot of .308's, and wanted a .270 (which I traded him for this one). He shot 5 rounds through it to sight it in, then put it in the safe. I shot it a few times to sight in with my Nikon scope, then put it in the safe. This would have been a hunting rifle for me, but I don't have any opportunities to go hunting and my primary .308 is a heavy barreled target rifle that I enjoy shooting more. The rifle looks great, and I'd say it's about 95+%. I had to deduct a little because the clear coat is slightly chipped right where the recoil pad attaches to the stock - I can send pics if interested. Any interest? I'm really only interested in an AR-15 for the trade.

That's a pretty rifle. Is that barrel a heavier contour than a standard sporter contour?

Thanks - to my knowledge, no - it's the standard pencil thick barrel.

Nobody has a clean, basic AR-15 they'd like to swap out for a clean hunting rifle with a scope already mounted and sighted in?

I traded off another .308 rifle, and have decided to keep this one. It is no longer available for trade/sale.
