Seems like a tall sight for concealed carry, junk or not. I wouldn't bother.

I like the concept but I'd like to try it before I buy it. They seem a bit pricey for what you get (like most sights).

I couldnt even get past the size of em to even wonder about the price. Possibly effective, but they still look kinda "gimicky" to me

We are looking to minimize the possibility of something hanging on a garment. As tall as these are they don't help in that area.

That said, it does seem like an interesting concept. If they could build one not taller than a normal site and with a slope on the back-end it might be better for CC.

I dunno about you, but the sight is the least of my problems with concealing. Normally it's the grip that's the issue. The sights stay nicely hidden right next to my body.
The sights only look slightly higher, maybe 1/4-1/2" Max, and if you're concealment depends on a margin of error of less than 1/2" an inch on your rear sight.. well, I don't know what to tell you.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, that other than possibly poking me in the side a little more, a slightly larger rear sight on my 1911 would not interfere with my concealment at all.

As far as something hanging up on it... it looks pretty smoothed out, don't see any harsh edges, at least no more than any sights I've seen on any carry gun before. I don't see it being a problem with hanging any more than a large grip already is.

After reading the extensive literature cited on the site, my concern is that, in an attack scenario, "standard" sights might prove less effective than these. I don't think size is really an issue, because the rear site isn't going to be inside the holster anyway, and the front sight is pretty standard looking stuff. The reviews I've read state that these sites "dramatically" improve accuracy, even for experienced shooters. According to the scientific literature, your near vision goes away in a BAR (Body Attack Reaction) situation anyway, and you can only focus on the target, not your sights. Since my primary reason for carrying is self defense, I want to make sure I have the greatest advantage possible to overcome the black period when you're acting instinctively. These sights seem to do that, but I'm suspect of my own opinions. I tend to be too easily swayed by rhetoric until I've had some time to consider other angles.

Thus the reason for the post.

These sights are simply a hex shaped ghost ring. This is nothing new.

I guess it's a moot point. I talked to the inventor/owner today. He wants $175 for the sights, installation and zeroing and $70 for one-way shipping (overnight air freight.) That's more than I want to spend, and I really need to get my pistol serviced by Sig anyway (see this thread.) So I'm going with the Sig plan and night sights for now. Maybe later, when I'm more experienced and I've had a chance to see these sights up close and personal I'll change my mind and get them.

I guess nobody on the forum already has them?

That is fine that you disagree. It simply looks to me like it would cause more problem (FOR ME) than any value that might ever be gained. Since that is my opinion, as was what you so kindly answered my post with for whatever reason, we can disagree.
