Congratulations and welcome to Kimberville! :thumbs2: :anamatedbanana

Edit: Doh!!! Looks like you already broke it down for cleaning.
Thank you for the video link TxKimberMan.

I've watched a few of those videos in the past few days trying to get an idea so I'd be prepared.
It really wasn't difficult once you know how to do it. Heck, next time I might not even need the manual.

I bought it from Tomball Pawn. I feel like I got a fair deal..$899.
They had the same gun, minus the nightsights for $799.

I buy all my guns there because they have the best prices around and the folks are very easy to deal with.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone !

Now for the range report..

OMG this gun shoots nice ! It feels good, it's extremely accurate, and I had no issues at all.
I even attempted to limpwrist it to try to get a failure but the gun still ate em up and spit em out.

I shot 100 rounds of Federal FMJ followed by 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot. Both 230grain.

Great range report! It can't get any better than 120 rounds without a hiccup! :thumbs2:

I think the forum has enough Kimber owners to found their own "Kimber Klub".

Cool sounds like a good deal. I like Tomball pawn they usually have a good selection also. I am buying within the next 2 weeks hopefully I will be able to get my hands on a deal like that.

Couple of things I haven't mentioned yet..

This gun conceals great !

When carried IWB with the right cant, it just disappears under a Tshirt.
It's also very comfortable. I think/know it's because of the slim design of the 1911.
My XD felt much more bulky compared to this 1911.

Secondly, the night sights are very bright in low light and no light conditions, and during the day
they look like regular 3 dot white sights.
