Re: My New Kimber (my dream gun)
Congrats on the new pistol. There's something nice about a new 1911, and a new carry gun. Looking forward to the range report.

Congrats ... !

BUT .... isn't it too nice and purdy to SWEAT ON ? ...
Shouldn't she be riding in a real nice, sweet LEATHER holster ??
Enguiring minds .... I'm just saying.

I was already thinking of adding a Galco OWB to my holster collection.

Sorry, the range report went by so quickly and with Wild Bill being hungry, I lost my concentration for a minute.USA1 wrote:Already been to the range with it..I couldn't wait.RiverRat wrote: Looking forward to the range report.![]()

Kimbers are not cheap but when I look at them I understand why I also paid the price for one. Beatiful gun.

It's a 1911. Of course it conceals great. That's what us 1911 guys have been raving about all along.USA1 wrote:Couple of things I haven't mentioned yet..

Congratulations again USA1 on a fine choice and I am glad to hear you had no problems on the range.
I miss the last one I sold to fund an upgrade to a Kobra carry.
That pistol will last you a lifetime (then someone else a lifetime and so on). You did good!

Re: My New Kimber (my dream gun)
I thought all you Kimber lovers would appreciate this story...
When my wife was recently stopped by DPS, after presenting DL/CHL the trooper asked her "what are you carrying and where is it?" She replied, "a Kimber (UCII) .45 in my purse, in the passenger seat." The trooper replied, "A Kimber??? That's a 'going to church' gun, not a 'going to work' gun." (with a big grin on his face). He was totally cool and professional, and we still laugh about that.

I just got the ultimate approval on the new Kimber..from my son.
He said "I like that one a lot better than your last one, it looks more intimidating. When can I shoot it?"

No, but I still have a couple of pair in the bottom of a drawer.
I'm saving them for when they come back into vogue.
