I had thought about putting it on my guns, but after using it and seeing how fast it breaks down I have thought twice. If you shoot your gun a lot and clean / oil it every time I would say that the Frog Lube is a great option. However, if you are going to let a gun sit for a few months and take it to the range you will most likely have to reapply before you shoot. It breaks down pretty quick.
I have started using Royal Purple oil in most everything I own and swear by the stuff. It is made here in Texas

For my guns, I use their gun oil. http://www.royalpurple.com/gun-oil.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This is truly amazing. (no I don't work for them or own stock) I was given an old 1911, built in the 70's and it was having lots of stove pipes and other feed issues. New magazines did not help. This was all before I started using the Royal Purple gun oil. Once I lubed the 1911 with the RP, including the magazines all of the failed to feed and stove pipe issues went away. It works great on my Glock too.
