xdm night sights

I recently acquired a xdm 3.8 40 cal, it has the regular 3 dot sights on it which are good but i want to put night sights on it. From what i was told it seems that it is very hard to change the original sights from the factory the dealer around hear said they would not do it either so does that mean i have to send it back to S.A. Or does anybody know of anybody in the Houston area that will do the job.

thanks for the info, the website was truely informative on all ends of the spectrum. But would like to stay in the state of texas since I have never sent any gun off for work. Seems easier to rectify if there is a problem, if the shop or person working on the sights were closer.

That’s true, and I felt the same way until the guy called me and we spoke.

The gun I had worked on is special, like, I'd drive over there and see him if it was lost or screwed up.. kind of special to me..
The shops reputation is above reproach, and his quality of work speaks for itself.

I entrusted a one of a kind un replaceable slide to him, because he has the ability and service reputation to do the job right,, never mind the prices.

If you find a local XD expert, please post up. Would love to know a local shop as well as what i have found via mail.
