Lots of people seem to remember that, but nobody has ever been able to cite any law supporting it.
I'm fairly certain I read it SOMEWHERE. I just can't seem to find WHERE. I could have sworn it was in the CDL handbook but I read through it the other day and couldn't find it.

I distinctively remember reading it because I used to carry when I was driving the bus for our church youth group and then I read that it was illegal so I stopped. Of course, what I read (wherever it was) could very well have been wrong.

Could it have been because you were driving a church bus. If I remember correctly, the law was updated to require churches to post 30.06. When the CHL was first passed Churches were prohibited like schools, weren't they?(Question there) I have spent hours researching state laws on commercial motor vehicles (CMV) and carry. I challenge ANYONE to show me ANY law that prohibits carry in a CMV. I have searched every state that has ccw and I have been unable to find one and there are no federal laws that prohibit it.

My husband is a truck driver and I made him a binder with all that info in it and more because I do not want him to get in trouble and not have some sort of proof. I saved the emails in my email box in case I might ever need them and I did.I guess being an email pack rat is a good thing sometimes.

Churches are required to post a 30.06 sign if they don't want you carrying (or give verbal notice), but mine did not so that wasn't it.

Maybe it was just my imagination.

Alot of people are under the assumption that it is illegal, even LEO's. There just needs to be more education on the subject.
