How to go about buying a silencer...........
I've gotten my barrel threaded, now it's time for me to get moving on getting the silencer. I have a GenTech in mind and the barrel was threaded by Tornado Technologies. Anyone have a how-to on how to go about doing paperwork and stuff to add a can to my pistol? I realize there's a $200 tax stamp required. Need details on it and if it's possible to do it all locally in one easy stop?

The dealer selling it should be willing to help with the paperwork.

Call Robert at http://www.talonarms.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (713) 529-2910
We sell Gemtech, SWR, AAC, YHM and Tactical Solutions. Robert can explain the process and we actually do the ATF paperwork for you at no additional charge if you get the suppressor(s) from us. Some establishments charge a fee. We can also point you in the direction of some lawyers that specialize in NFA trusts that are reasonably priced. I went the trust route via Quicken Willmaker Plus for basically free.
Also, here is a link to a FAQ on another site that explains the process.
