On some other forum or blog I ran across the below link and found it very interesting for history buffs. A photographer, Russian apparently, has taken B & W photographs of (mostly) the Soviet army from WWII, photographed the same scenes now with exactly the same perpective/orientation/etc and overlayed key elements of the WWII photos into the current color photos. I have seen then-and-now photos paired up before, but not combined like this. He did an outstanding job of exactly aligning the two so they appear as one.
The picture locations are in (at least) Moscow, Vienna, and Berlin. I found them interesting, some of them even a bit eerie. Maybe others will enjoy them.
