My kid can handle a .45

Post by threoh8 »

My youngest (20) asked if we could go shoot handguns Sunday, so off we went.

HIs first group with my Government Model at 7 yards:

Edit: The first shot was the one right above the X.

Sorry for the poor cellphone=quality photo.

The group reminds me of this:

He obviously knows the basics, but is now thinking about getting his own pistol and CHL when he turns 21.

His comments on some other hardware:
Snubby .38, hideout stocks - "Hard to control"
6" .357, Pachmayr stocks- "Niiiice! (w/148 WC)" ; "Those 125's (Rem JHP's) are a little sharp."
High Standard Sentinel .22LR "Sweet!"

When I see a target like that, I'm thinking two things:

1) Great shooter
2) Accurate weapon

Nice.

That's a lot better than any of my groups from 7 yards.
If I had a gun for every ace I have drawn, I could arm a town the size of Abilene.
