Post by txrr »

Its been years since I have been to a gun show. Which one is better as far as purchasing a new .380 SA, the Dallas Arms Collectors Association this weekend or the Fort Worth Gun Show next weekend Aug 28-29

Pretty much same size shows (large). Pretty much same vendors at both shows. You should have no problem finding what you want at either show.

The last surviving member of the Enola Gay crew will be at the Dallas Show this weekend
signing books etc. I think they charge for parking in Ft Worth? Dallas parking is free.
Other than that, both shows about the same.

Parking on the street (if you can find a spot) at the Ft. Worth show is free. Or you can pay $3.00 and walk a bit, or $5.00 and walk less. Your choice. In Dallas parking is free.

Parking is better at Dallas. I like the Dallas show better generally than the Fort Worth Show but I can't say I have anything to base it on.

I've always preferred the Ft Worth shows - less crowded, same size.
But I won't pay to park, then pay to get in. You have to get a pretty good deal there just to get out of the hole.
I'd rather drive to Dallas, just on principle.

Maybe the Ft worth show will find a better place. There's a couple of empty K-Marts around, plenty of parking.

Arrived at the Dallas show at 9 and left at 1pm. Thinking I enjoyed myself despite only spending $5 on a TSRA hat.

I got there at 10:30 and left at 1:30. Spent a whopping $7 for a carbine bandoleer and one more old style stripper clip and guide. Probably do it all over again next Saturday in Ft. Worth. Don't ask me why

Just remember to add $8 to whatever you paid, and another $5 in Ft Worth
