Dallas Gun Show
Dallas Collectors show this weekend. I'll be there, looking to buy or trade for another Springfield XD 9mm or a Springfield 1911 platform, and some new carry solutions (While i wait on my supertuck)
Anyone else going? I'll be there around 10am.

My boss and I will be there. I'll be fondling a few potential buys.... trying to decide between a Glock 19, Sig P225, HK USP compact, or S&W M&P9...

I'm goin in the morning.
Lookin for a Don Hume 715 for my XDSC that I can keep in the console of my truck bc my comp-tac is just to big to deal with sometimes when I just need to make a quick stop off somewhere.
Also curious about an AK-47, SKS and a pocket 9mm. May be a Kel-Tec PF-9 or P-11.
Haven't ever seen either one so I'm not sure what to expect.

I also plan to be there by 10 this morning.

Re: Dallas Gun Show
I will be there sometime this morning. I want to urge all that are going to find the mobile blood truck. All blood donated this weekend benifit the Scottish Rite hospital kids. By donating, you are supposed to recieve free admission to the show.
I will be there to help out for a little while as soon as the grand daughter wakes up and I take her home.

Is there any reason I can't wear my pocket knife in?

I've been to 3 gun shows in recent weeks and knives were never mentioned. I carry 3 knives all the time. Each has it's own purpose.MedicMan218 wrote:Is there any reason I can't wear my pocket knife in?

Went today, Found nothing i wanted...well thats not true, but nothing i was willing to have my wife upset at me for buying. Found some nice deals on SA XD 9mm 4 inch. $385 at one table...and some not so good $750 at another. All with the same goodies.
Anyway, Shop around, let us know if you found anything amazing.
Ammo prices were not bad, had alot of .380 i hear is hard to find. Wal-Mart had better though!

Re: Dallas Gun Show
I was there for about 4 hours, plus the walk to & from my truck.
I unloaded my EDC in the truck and left the mags & ammo there. When I got inside & had them check & ty-wrap my pistol, I asked the guy to please do it so I could re-holster. He did and just asked me not to load it while inside. That was strange, because they usually grind on you about not having any ammo at all.
I didn't buy much. Just some A-Zoom snap caps and a Tucker holster for my 1911's. Oh, and I joined the TSRA! They're raffling off a gun safe for $20 a pop, but they're only selling 100 tickets.
I didn't see too many of what I would call "great deals". .45 ACP ammo was scarce and mostly high-priced. The best deal I found for ball ammo was a 500-round box of UMC for $212. On the way home, I stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up some 50-round boxes of Federal for $15.97 a box.

Re: Dallas Gun Show
I bought some elk and beef sticks... the only things I consistently buy at gun shows now
Found a couple of reasonable deals on USP compacts, but nothing outstanding. Looks like next month's paycheck before I can buy one
Finally got to meet Ted Van Kirk (the Enola Gay navigator) and personally thank him for his part in ending WWII. That was a moderately emotional moment for me.... if he hadn't done his job right, we might not be here
