Online CHL Status

I recently completed the CHL class and mailed in my paperwork. After reading through some posts, I noticed that several folks have been able to check the status of their application online. When I went to the DPS website it wants me to apply as a "NEW USER". Since I mailed all of my paperwork in and havent done anything electronically, will this complicate the process or make me try and pay another $140 fee?

Just looking for some feedback to see how others have gone about this process. Thanks!

You should us the "Returning User" button and enter your DL, SSN and birthdate. It will take about a week from receipt of the app in Austin until your info shows up online. I know from recent experience that waiting is a hard thing to do.

covers the same subject, but basicly your looking at 3 weeks from when you mailed out your packet before you can see anything online
