Got a new toy at the Saxet Gun Show in San Antoino.
Some guy was selling his S&W SW1911 stainless with night sights for $700 and has NEVER, I repeat, Never been fired. Beautiful gun. Had to take it. I'll post up pics of it later on. I'm just thrilled I got it at that price. Too thrilled. Great pistol.
I'm actually giddy..
I'm late for work. Well worth me being late though =)

I was actually cleaning it up. Didn't notice it was missing when taking the pic. It's there though. =)
Oh, also it comes with different mags, too. Although I didn't like them sticking out when I carry, so pictured is a Kimber mag off a Stainless II

I didn't make it down to the SAXET show this weekend, but hope to make it down next month . . . I'm suffering "gun show neglect" here in Austin.
How was the show overall?

It was great. My only complaint is the A/C wasn't working well. Every booth had fans because it was sooo darn hot.

AMEN Hank. It's been 12 months since I've been to a gun show and that's too long.HankB wrote:I didn't make it down to the SAXET show this weekend, but hope to make it down next month . . . I'm suffering "gun show neglect" here in Austin.

Nice snag 68! May it serve you well.
Now that you mention it. It was pretty stuffy, though, Sunday was a bit more bearable.

Yeah, but to be honest I REALLY had my sights on a Springfield Micro-Compact (G.I. Issue). I figured I can bang it up and what not and not be worried about it as much as I would be with carrying this bad boy. Then again though, I have gotten this for a nice price and it's stainless with the sights. I saw one today at a local gun shop (Texas Guns on Bandera) and they wanted $660 (I think) for it. Mind you it was standard w pretty horrible sights. I figured what I had gotten was a steal.
I took it to the range and put 100 rounds through it. I must say I was a bit off with it. I actually did horrid as a matter of fact. I dunno what it was. With my Kimber Stainless II I did fine. Double tapped fine. Group oh-so well. With the S&W.. jeez. All over the place. I think it's the sights, but I really LOVE the true-dot sights opposed to the Kimbers Stainless II's sights.
Perhaps I was too excited to shoot it? lol..
Going whenever I have time and money to shoot the baby. School and work is just REALLY kicking my butt.
