If you haven't seen it, there was a brohaha over ranchers installing them and then POTUS and the VP, without understanding the discussion, taking up the ball and running with it as those people were involved, not steel pipes.

Neither intelligence or sanity is a requirement for the job. Article I specifies a minim age, minimum length of citizenship and state residency.
