So I wake up prepared to go to work today as usual. But when we let the cat in (sometimes he bolts out at night and parties all evening), he is missing some fur on his face - above his eye. I can't see any other obvious trauma - so I don't know what's up. Fight? First signs of mange? Who knows. So I take him to the vet this morning and drop him off as a 'drop-in'.
I had a pretty lousy day yesterday too - so I decide to take a mental health day and play hooky from work. I haven't gotten a free moment to shoot my SR9c since I got it a month ago. Teenage girls - between volleyball, band, homework, drama (not the on-stage kind - the teenage girl kind); there has just been no time. So, I load up and head to the Arms Room.
VERY nice facility! Unbelievably nice facility! I have never been to an indoor range where you are not a little worried about getting bumped from behind while shooting. There was soo much room. It was definitely worth the few $$$ extra.
I put 150+ of WWB through it without a single hiccup. All the rounds landed right where I was aiming - without needing to adjust the sights. Unfortunately, I haven't picked up any SD ammo yet, so I only tested FMJ. But still, I am very pleased.
Just got the call that the cat is ok - just a fight. I'll go pick him up.
So far, a much better day ...

Shooting for mental health: Amen! My two favorite forms of therapy are Torque and Recoil. A good drive, and/or a good shooting session.
Glad to hear the cat's going to be OK.

The sooner I get behind, the more time I have to catch up.

Great report on all fronts! Yep, The Arms Room is a beautiful facility and the staff is excellent as well. Pleased to hear the cat is fine. I'm a person owned by cat as well.

Oh, you just helped me coin a new expression: "Recoil Therapy".threoh8 wrote:Shooting for mental health: Amen! My two favorite forms of therapy are Torque and Recoil. A good drive, and/or a good shooting session.

Yup, I'm gonna use that one a LOT

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.
