Last fling w/ young recruit

Post by longtooth »

Young recruit from our church is headed for Boot Camp Sunday. :patriot: Called yesterday & asked if we could have one more day at the range before leaving. :woohoo :fire

I started my day at 3:00 this morning to be able to spend the middle half w/ him.
Man, I am gonna have a lot of guns to clean Monday.
Worth every minute of it.
Yall pray for him. No doubt in my mind he is headed for harms way.

You're a good man LT, you'll be blessed for giving of yourself.

Good luck to the young man entering service, Godspeed.

Here is a Hug for you, LT, for being so good to him. And a Prayer for his safety. May God keep and protect him as he goes into danger for the sake of others. Amen.

May both of you true Americans walk with God and know his grace. I thank you for your service. :patriot:

Just got back from a weekend of helping the youngest patriots (cub scouts). My best wishes and prayers are with him. Keep us updated on where he is and what he is doing.

More info amounts to more prayer groups praying for him around here.

About 22 years ago I befriended an older guy in our neighborhood that was a cop and former Marine. He took me to the range and we actually got to fire an M16 (apparently he had some pull with the local reservist group). Nine years later I joined the Corps due to his influence and turned my life around. Just that small impact he had on my life made a huge difference in who I am today. You never realize how something so small and what might seem insignificant in your life can make such a huge difference in someone elses. Very cool of you to do that.
