American Tactical Imports 1911

Does anyone have any experience with these 1911? I stumbled upon them on bud's gun shop and they seem to be very competitive price and feature wise with a RIA. Any info is appreciated. I was looking at the fx45 GI.

American Tactical is made in the Philippines by Shooters Arms Manufacturing. They have been around for a few years and American Tactical branded and began importing them. Very comparable to Rock Island's which are also made in the Philippines by Armscor (Armscor also manufactures for Citadel and High Standard... same guns, different brands) And last but not least, take a close look at the Metro Arms which is imported as American Classic or Firestorm. All appear to have similar fit & finish and generally get good reviews by owners. Just ordered a American Classic from Bud's myself... $429 shipped with insurance. If it's half the pistol my High Standard/Armscor Compact is, I'll be a happy camper.
