Know the manufacture of this

I purchased a rifle some years ago at a benefit auction of a friend. The gun belonged to his father. It shoots 7MM Mauser and I have fired it. But that is all I know about the rifle. The only thing I can find on it are numbers. Here are a few pictures if someone can identify it this way.

It may be a Mauser. How about a shot of the reciever ring and a look at the bolt in the rifle from the right side?

I think it's a Spanish Mauser. Since I don't even know 1% of all gun knoweldge, I'm not certain. But from what I can tell, it sure looks to be a 1893 Spanish Mauser.
They've been copied and made in numerous countries, though, so even if I'm right, then thats the best I've got. The stubed barrel makes me think it was either sporterized, or that its a jungle or naval carbine. Most later models were chambered in 8mm mauser or 6.5 mm Swede.
Are you sure there is no other kind of stampings on the rifle anywhere? Nothing on the top of the reciever? What about the stock, any markings on the stock?

If there are some numbers or markings on the receiver ring (on the right edge of this photo), they would probably help. It looks like there is something there, but I can't quite make it out. Could you shoot a close-up?

It looks a lot like a couple of Turks that I have. But those are in 8mm.

It's definately a Mauser if 7X57 it could be Spanish, Mexican, or a bunch of other central and South American countries. Nearly all were made by Mauser in Germany under contract for the respective countries.
