Cool Weather Carry - Ruger LCP

Post by doc540 »

Desantis pocket holster works just fine in a bomber jacket pocket.

Protects the trigger, breaks up the outline, and hangs inside the pocket while the pistol's drawn.

.380's not my favorite concealed carry caliber, but it's better'n a set of car keys in my fist.

Don't waste the cool weather on a 380. The nice thing about cold weather is the chance to finally carry your bigger guns under a coat. This is the time that I put the G26 and P3AT in the safe and switch them out for the G19 and G36. I can pocket carry my G19 in the inside pocket of my coat. Heck, I may even try carrying my G21 just cause I can.

It's not a waste if you've got that .380 in the pocket and your bigger gun under the coat.

My LCP will probably be carried less as the weather gets cooler. That said, it is so easy to carry that it never completely gets out of the carry rotation.
