If I'm reading their website correctly, that is a $22 savings over what you could buy the gun for today. I have no experience with CTD and don't know whether the McKinney location uses the website price.

I got sort of excited about this deal until I saw the LCP going for $260 at the gunshow in Fort Worth last week. I realize you have to pay $8 to get into the show, but it's not worth $10-18 for me to wake up, wait in line, and possibly not get what I showed up for because they sold out or whatever - I'd just assume grab one at a gunshow at my leisure. YMMV...

Either way, if you're in the market for an LCP, now is a pretty good time to buy. :txflag:

Gun show admission charges are NOT in the budget under buying guns, they are entertainment expenses, just like movie tickets. I get a heck of a lot more enjoyment out of walking around and playing "touchy-feeliy" with a lot of guns than I have from many of the movies that I've attended.

I was to the Ft. Worth gun show, too. I was comparing the LCP to all of the others that I could find in about the same size. Given that I want it to carry when something bigger just isn't going to work, it sure is one of the smallest, thinnest choices.

The Dallas show is starts the day after Black Friday. I think I'm going to wait to see what is available there.

I had no idea how much I would love my LCP. I bought it as a back up / lounging around the house gun, and it has turned out to be my EDC most days. Buy one! ;-)

That's my plan. Things are a little tight right now so I'm trying to find the best price possible - hence my interest in the CTD Black Friday deal. But I'm not going to take it to an extreme. McKinney is about an hour's drive for me and it will cost me about $10 in tolls to boot. That pretty much eats up a small difference in price.

I know that I'll like carrying an LCP and hope that I can tolerate shooting it often enough to remain proficient with it. It looks like the ammo is going to be a little more expensive than the 9mm Federal that I've been buying at Wally World.
