Here's a clip from an email my wife recieved earlier from her friend. This incident did not happen to her friend, but somebody that the friend knows.

Just wanted you all to know about an incident that happened this past
friday in The Woodlands. Chase's piano teacher has a son that lives
in The Woodlands with his wife and 3 week old baby. He was letting
his wife sleep and he was feeding the baby in the livingroom of their
home. He put the baby in her crib next to his sleeping wife after
feeding her. There was a knock at their door....he looked out and
saw no one....figured it was someone from their church leaving
something on the porch for the new baby....as many had been doing
that. He opened the door and was jumped by 2 men hiding near the
door. One man was white with many tatoos and the other man was
african american. They beat him pretty bad.....while he was fighting
them off, his wife heard the commotion and locked the bedroom door
and called the police. One of the guys pulled a gun on him and
demanded a car. He gave them the keys to his pick-up truck....they
took off but not before crashing the car a few times down the
street. The police arrived too late to catch them and he still has
not gotten his truck back but very happy to be alive and his family
not harmed. They found out from the police that the description of
the two men fit the same two men that a hour before had tried to car-
jack a man from the parking lot of Tortuga 's on 45. They dragged
him out from his car by the hair and beat him as well. They crashed
his car and therefore were looking for another car. The whole
incident is very scary.

And this is in the Woodlands... I guess I may be safer in my neighborhood, since I am always on guard.

You need to be on guard no matter where you are. Even if it's someone from your church, if you don't recognize them ASK "Who's there?"
They will give you some type of answer that often reveals their intentions.
"If a man breaks in your house, he ain't there for iced tea." Mom & Dad.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
